Abercrombie & Fitch
“The coolest, high quality, All-American lifestyle clothing for every guy and girl and aspirational men and women.”
Originally established in 1892, Abercrombie & Fitch is a public traded company (NYSE: ANF). Its specialty is "casual luxury" clothing and the store also offers accessories, colognes, and perfumes. The target demographic for A&F focuses more on the collegiate genre but the company encompasses four different style brands: Abercrombie & Fitch, abercrombie Kids, Hollister Co., and RUEHL 925. The quality merchandise is sold in each of the brands' retail stores, catalogs, and online. As of January 2007, the company operated 944 stores in all U.S. states except Wyoming. They also have six stores in Canada, a European flagship store in London, a store in Sydney, Australia and the expectation of expanding to Japan.
Life facts:
Abercrombie & Fitch started as a brand that supplied rugged, outdoor gear. In 1988 it was acquired by The Limited Inc. and eventually expanded its style category to include the fashion oriented apparel that it showcases today.
