SAG Awards: 2014 SAG Awards Shine at the Shrine!

The 2014 red carpet event is quickly becoming one of the most stylish and fascinating in recent years. Designers, stylists and of course the stars are making a great effort to look amazing and continue to top themselves and the SAG Awards proved it!

Less than a week after showing off at the Golden Globes the brightest in film and television once again came together and paraded down the red carpet for the only award show where actors honor each other. The modern chic style overtaking Hollywood and its fashionistas was on display with a vengeance. The women were unafraid of color and the newest fashion trends like embellishments, fairy-tail details and fishtail-hems could be seen all over.

In a surprise turn, the biggest color fad of the evening was varying shades of blue and pink. The blues ranged from pale to royal and teal to midnight, and celebs like Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence, Morena Baccarin and Lupita Nyong’O brought the color to new heights. Stars like Cate Blanchette, Julia Roberts, Emilia Clarke and Sarah Hyland allowed their inner girl to peak out for the night in hues of pink, creating a fresh look for this awards season. Gowns were not the only stunner on the red carpet, hairstyles gave us fashionistas some serious inspiration! With old Hollywood glam, modern textured up-dos and sultry loose waves we will be seeing classy, elegant hairstyles for some time to come.

Unlike the week before, our favorite actresses made the bold choice of adding colorful make-up to their already striking looks. An array of eye shadow in electric blues, pinks and metallic grays, plus the always sexy and fun smokey eye were ever present. The statement lip came back in the form of Sofia Vergara and Claire Danes in glossy berry, Michelle Dockery and Elsabeth Moss in classic red and Amy Adams in a shocking yet stylish bright orange lipstick.
