hile Melody follows fashion for a living, she is no fashion victim. Her shoe collection contains few back-breaking stilettos and more platform sandals that feel like flats. Her favorite place for unearthing these is a store in Portland, Oregon called Switch. “I can always count on sandals or boots from Switch that I won’t see anywhere else,” Melody explained. “They do most of their buying in Israel. Their styles look really funky on the shelf and hot on the feet!” No more switching to flip-flops mid-evening.

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be?

A BLACK OR GREY TUNIC, BLACK JEAN LEGGINGS AND BOOTS. I HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THIS IN BLACK OR GREY. SO EASY TO WEAR, MODERN, SIMPLE, AND I AM READY TO GO.

What’s your style like when you’re just hanging out with friends or family?

SAME ANSWER AS ABOVE (TUNIC, LEGGINGS, BOOTS).

When you travel, what kinds of things do you shop for?

BOOTS AND SIMPLE, MODERN TOPS. DRESSES AND UNIQUE JEWELRY.

SEX AND THE CITY.

What’s the most you’ve ever paid for a pair of designer jeans?

ALMOST $200 FOR PAIGE JEANS.

What’s the dominant color in your closet – and why?

IT’S A TOSS UP OF BLACK OR GREY. GREY IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE COLOR.
