These style phases for Stacy were all about her expression of self, and it played a large role in building Stacy’s interest in philosophy. In Stacy’s sophomore year, she fell in love….with philosophy, psychology and art history. No doubt being the manager for her high schools boys’ varsity wrestling team helped Stacy develop a deep artistic appreciation for strategic thinking. It also helped her with analytical skills- Stacy was (and still is) highly proficient with scoring wrestling matches!
Life just falls into place for some people and Stacy seems to be just that type of person. She has been graced with talent in all arenas and also has a musical side. In fact, Stacy’s flutist rendition of ‘The Rose’ was so well received when she was 11 years old that it aided her in taking first place in a Beauty Contest.
Well during her senior year in high school, Stacy again made a huge statement and impact on others. Stacy, knowingly or not, formed an impactful foundation that she has continued to build upon. Stacy was asked to give a speech in chapel. She elected to speak about the concept of self and the perception of self by others. This theme has been the key to Stacy’s world and endeavors and MyCloset.com whole heartedly believes that Stacy is the ultimate culmination of beauty and brains.
When discovering one’s self, it is critical to know what you like and what you do not like. And Stacy’s road to discovery was no different. When choosing a college that would hold her interest and quest for a vast range of unique knowledge, Stacy elected to attend a liberal arts college where she could better learn to analyze life and to think in the best possible way. While Stacy continued to keep a foot in fashion's door, her intense college education was where she placed the majority of her focus. With her creativity and sense-of-self being her prevailing force, Stacy took every class that interested her, while not directing a path towards one particular major. Stacy had an infusion of highly intellectual courses that further allowed her to develop an enormous background in psychology, literature and philosophy. And at the tail end of her college career, Stacy created her own independent major-not the normal college student by any standard!!
But whomever placed Stacy in the norm…from studying the philosophy and literacy giants such as Kant and Hegel, Stacy obtained an apprenticeship at the prestigious and famous fashion couture house, Christian Dior. The path was set!
