IN THIS FEATURE: Meet Michele Fashion Focus

I attended several schools. I started at Miami Dade Community College then Broward Community College, Barry University and finally Nova Southeastern University. Much of what I know about jewelry specifically is self taught. I have taken classes at different museums in some techniques like silver clay.
I received several awards for my artwork while in high school and college. I also have received several awards in museum shows and juried shows. I was lucky enough to be in the Hortt at the Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale.

What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

I haven't had one, but I probably will before it is all over.

If you could only shop at one store, which would it be?

I guess it would be a bead store, because I love making jewelry.

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be?

I am going to change one thing. I want lights in my closet.

Survival of the fittest: What is one item in your closet that you will never get rid of?

I have a jacket that I love. It is a skiing jacket that I only get to wear when it is really cold or if we go to the mountains.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

Alexander McQueen.

Name an actor/singer/celebrity whose wardrobe you admire the most.

Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Obama.

Who makes your favorite pair of jeans? Shoes? Dress or Suit?

Betsey Johnson, Steve Madden, Chanel.

If you had to describe your personal style in one word, what would it be?

Eclectic.

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

I like clothing that is costume like or a bit theatrical. Medieval, Renaissance era , ultra contemporary .

If we could take a look into your personal closet, what would we find?

I have simple tastes in clothes. I wear a lot of black, but also like bright colors. I like velvet, and satin and bows and eyelet. I like skinny jeans and party dresses and yoga pants. My taste is eclectic and my closet reflects that. I do have a some designer pieces, I like Betsey Johnson, Tara Jarmon, Christian Siriano and like to explore the work of new designers.
