Ja`ire has been featured in fashion shows throughout California. She has become the hot item across Los Angeles and has been requested for fashion shows and events including the West Coast Black Expo Fashion Show, Beauty Revolution, West Coast Fashion Summit, and the Golden Thimble Fashion Show, where Nekia Hattley has won the first place Golden Thimble Award in the Men’s Category.

Ja`ireIC’s local publicity and awe-inspiring designs has led to her participation in greater fashion shows such as the Los Angeles Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Fuze Fashion Show, Élan’s Fashion Week in San Francisco, the Legislative Black Caucus Foundation Inc. fashion show, various fashion shows throughout Las Vegas, Nevada, and many other prestigious shows.

Through hard work and dedication Ja`ire International Couture has been able to extend her services beyond the domestic into the international market. Ja`ire International Couture has now been featured on the STYLE NETWORK, the E. Channel, in Star Magazine, Soap Opera Weekly, LA DIRECT magazine, Yogi Times, HELM magazine in Ethiopia, and Hindustan Times and Society Magazine in India. Other works include California News Apparel, Insight Magazine, Rock eNews publications and many more.

What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

I absolutely hate panty lines, pants sagging to your knees and oversized big white-T for men.

If you could only shop at one store, which would it be?

Other than Ja’ire International Couture??? A thrift store, you can find the best little treasures there.

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be?

It would be as big as three rooms and filled with boots and shoes.

Survival of the fittest: What is one item in your closet that you will never get rid of?

My waist cincher, there is nothing like an hour glass figure.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

Roberto Cavalli, he’s fabulous!

Name an actor/singer/celebrity whose wardrobe you admire the most.

Right now Rihanna’s wardrobe is great… I don’t know who her stylist is but she/ he has taken her look to the next level.

What are your best and worst fashion purchases?

I bought these amazing little seventies mini dress for four dollars. I get so many compliments on it every time I wear it, and it’s pretty cool that it cost less than a Big Mac combo meal. I bought a pair of boots on sale, the only size left was in my size and they were the perfect Cinderella fit in the boutique but once I got home they magically shrunk. They hurt so bad that I couldn’t even get out of the house. I kept them for a year then gave them to charity; there is some fly person out there right now rocking those 4 inch stiletto boots lol.

Who makes your favorite pair of jeans? Shoes? Dress or Suit?

I love Deviations jeans, they fit my curves perfectly. I don’t have a favorite shoe designer; I love shoes too much to limit myself.

If you had to describe your personal style in one word, what would it be?

Artistic-Funky, I needed 2 words sorry. lol.

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

Bell bottoms, I am a seventies girl at heart.
