What has been your biggest fashion faux-pas?

LISA: Wearing multi colored plaid pants in high school! RENE: Not so much a faux-pas, but a disappointment! A dress I chose for a prom date in 1988.

If you could only shop at one store, which would it be?

LISA: Kirna Zabete RENE: Barneys

If you could change one thing about your closet, what would it be?

LISA: It would be much bigger and made of cedar. RENE: I would make it much, much larger with a center island and have a couple of chairs and beautiful light fixture!

Survival of the fittest: What is one item in your closet that you will never get rid of?

LISA: My Kulson trench coat. RENE: My lingerie chest filled with jewelery that are all real, costume and vintage. I couldn’t live without accessories.

If you were given the opportunity to have a famous designer revamp your entire wardrobe, who would you choose?

LISA: Alber Elbaz - Lanvin. RENE: Stella McCartney..i think I could spend the day with her! I love what she had done with Chloe’ and on her own line. And she seems so humble despite how famous she is. And of course if Miuccia Prada wasn’t busy, I would welcome the company and advise!

Name an actor/singer/celebrity whose wardrobe you admire the most.

LISA: Cate Blanchette RENE: I guess Sarah Jessica Parker for someone my age and Selma Blair for someone younger. Both have style that looks hip and appropriate when seen at different functions.

What are your best and worst fashion purchases?

LISA: Best: Prada “it” bag at the outlet in Florence had to be the best! Worst: Marni sandals at BG that broke the second day! The worst! RENE: My best purchases are my shoes that are chosen carefully, my Marc Jacobs handbags and Phillip Lim blouses and my worst purchases are bad belts and headbands that just don’t look good on me.

Who makes your favorite pair of jeans? Shoes? Dress or Suit?

LISA: Jeans – Superfine. Shoes - Lanvin, Chloe. Dress - Tracy Reese. RENE: AG jeans/ Prada/Miu Miu or Chloe’ shoes/ Phillip Lim dress

If you had to describe your personal style in one word, what would it be?

LISA: Chic RENE: Stylish

If you could bring back any fashion trend, what would it be?

LISA: Ladies wearing hats and gloves to dinner. RENE: I prefer today’s fashion trend of mixing high and low/ vintage and new to put together your own personal style. Mixing trends makes for showing who you are
