The Young Brittany Snow

VINTAGE ARTICLE!! More Than a Triple Threat

F
ashion sense isn’t something one is born with, it is a learned trait and Brittany Snow is proof of that. She has been a part of the entertainment industry for most of her life, starting out at the ripe old age of 3 ˝ ; modeling, acting, singing and dancing and is showing no signs of stopping! Many bandy about the words triple threat for ladies like Snow but we at MyCloset think she is so much more. Whether portraying a teenage girl in the 1960s (Hairspray and American Dreams), a Neo Nazi (Nip/Tuck) or a modern day college student in an acapella group (Pith Perfect), Snow’s characters have a unique sense of style. One could say the same of Brittany herself. After years of strutting down the red carpet at movie premiers, award shows, galas and events, she has come into her own as a fashionable celebrity who many admire; back in 2012 Women’s Wear Daily even proclaimed her a trendsetter of the week. To achieve such a title, a fashionista cannot be afraid to take risks and Snow certainly is not, both in a fashion and career sense. She has even been known to change her hair color for the sake of a role; successfully pulling of everything from a blond to a brunette and most recently a red head!
Brittany Snow has spent her adult years attending Fashion Week in New York City, picking up the newest trends. She typically frequents the runway shows of her favorite designers; Lela Rose, Pamella Roland, Erin Fetherston and Monique Lhuillier. In 2009 along with leading ladies like Katie Couric, Jane Kaczmarek, Susan Lucci, Jennie Garth, Hilary Duff and Tori Spelling, she participated in “The Heart Truth Red Dress Collection’ runway show, modeling a gorgeous, ruffled sleeve Marchesa gown. The ‘Red Dress” runway show is an annual presentation at New York fashion week. In 2003 the fashion industry and The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute began relationship in an effort to raise awareness for heart disease in women. Each year, 20 female celebrities take part in the runway show, each wearing a red dress/gown designed by a top fashion designer. Brittany is certainly no stranger in wanting to give back and help others. Having worked with the Jed Foundation and MTV in 2010 to start the ‘Love is Louder’ movement, in which she remains actively involved in all aspects of the campaign.
